Less than 24 hours before take-off..

Well,  all twelve of them have agreed to be at school by 9:00 tomorrow morning.  Seems like a reasonable time to show up for school, but I'm  guessing some of them won't get to bed before one or so, if at all.  But everyone is excited.  Especially the kids who haven't flown before ...

I should mention that Travis Sisson, our Bible II and Elementary P.E. teacher is the male sponsor.  I'm particularly happy that he is coming along because he has been to San Diego several times and knows some of the not so advertised haunts.  Little shops and quaint restaurants that will be fun to explore around the rest of our schedule.

These couple of entries are just our practice runs before we get into the thick of it.  Now that I know how to get back into the blog after setting it up (thank you Craig) we will try to keep it up. We leave for the airport from school on the little yellow bus courtesy of Mr. Brazeal.  We'll check in with skycap because it is so much easier and faster with a group.  Well worth the tipping from past experience.  Not looking forward to the new security practices but somethings we can't do much about so just have to deal with it.

We're ready right now

We are setting up this little blog to allow you to follow us for the next few days as we explore the wonders of southern California.  Please keep our class in your prayers as we take the next week off to enjoy some quality time together.

I can't believe our senior trip of 2011 is only three days away. The seniors are so ready to board the plane and leave Kansas behind for a few days.  We have worked really hard to earn the money to cover all our expenses.  We have a great activity schedule which you can follow on the MAA website if you want to see what we're up to each day.

Craig Christensen, our class president, and Dustin Foerderer, our class pastor, have the divided the class into teams for cooking and conducting worships.  Friday evening's meal is being planned by Abbey and Braden.  We'll let you know what they are feeding us when we find our ourselves.  And Friday evening vespers is being planned by Team Jacob/Andrea.  You can see we are all going to be contributing and having fun showcasing our talents.
